E-Mountain Bike Tour Details

We pick and adjust our bikes and equipment. Your mtb leader will lead you out on a 2 1/2-hour mountain bike, sightseeing tour by electric mountain bikes (powerful, pedal assistance bikes).

The E-Mountain Bike Tour is for the average rider that has at least a single experience in off-road bicycle riding. Your leader will adjust the route depending on your skills.

With 2 different levels of difficulty, there are enough routes to suit all.

Start from the center of Kalampaka and within minutes you will find yourself on a beautiful trail, enjoying unique sceneries of the most amazing nature. Discover the monastery of Ypapanti, constructed inside a large cavity of a rock and it’s considered to be one of the hidden gems of Meteora. The statue of the local hero Papathymios Vlahavas stands nearby, a monument to remind all of the Greek war for independence and the long history of this place.

The breathtaking geological phenomenon of Meteora, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. No matter what level of mountain biking you are at, this tour will leave you with some of the most beautiful memories you could ever hope for.

A minimum of 2 riders are required for the E-Mountain Bike Tour. There is a possibility that the tour may be canceled after confirmation if there are not enough riders to join. In this case, you will be offered an alternative activity or refunded in full.

What if it rains?

All our bus tours run regardless of weather. If we are forced to cancel an activity because of extreme weather conditions, you have the option to change date or switch activity or cancel and receive a refund.

How late can I make a booking?

You can make a booking with us literally at the last minute! Just keep in mind that there may be no seats left on the tour if you do that! We recommend booking at least one week in advance, in order to have the best chances of finding availability.

Which tours can I join on the same day?

We have split our tours tom morning and afternoon ones. Furthermore, all our tours visit different places at Meteora. This way, you can combine any morning tour with any afternoon tour you wish! All all-time-classic combination is the Meteora Hiking Tour in the morning and the Meteora Sunset Tour in the afternoon.

We did both a private tour and a sunset group tour, in addition Travel Meteora arranged the train tickets from Athens and the pick up from and back to the train station. The Sunset Tour is an ideal way to view all of the monasteries and learn the history of the area. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and patiently answered everyone's questions. Learning the history of the Byzantine church helped us understand the frescoes in the monastery chapels as most were very similar. We only actually went inside one monastery and the church in Kalambaka, but went to some well-known, and some out-of-the-way, viewpoints to take amazing pictures. The tour requires some hiking, but most sites were easily accessible. Highly recommend this tour to get an overview of the area to further explore desired sites at your leisure.

Meteora is more than its monasteries and sunset. The city is filled with much history (Ancient Greek, Roman, and Ottoman) and nature wonder. This tour offers you MORE THAN sunset and photography. The travel guide Vasili lives in town. He has plenty knowledge of Meteora. Whether you are just here for photo, or a history guru, enjoy the trip with Vasili. I was in Meteora in 2019 Dec and booked the tour with Vasili. I returned again in 2021 with my newly wed wife, and booked the same tour for us. Be sure your phone is charged and plenty memory space for the photos. Enjoy the trip!
