Where Faith and Mysticism co-exist, and the Magical Mountains and Monasteries become One!
Where Faith and Mysticism co-exist, and the Magical Mountains and Monasteries become One!

Meteora is such a mystical place. From the history of the first hermits living in caves and the construction of its amazing Monasteries, to its Fait. There is this mystical energy surrounding the area, the mountains are what makes this wonderful place even more surreal. I was able to meditate, breath, take in all that positive energy and fill my mind with good thoughts, heal my soul. Just spectacular, more than just buildings on top of mountains. It is the energy of them what makes this place simply magical. Loved it and I would go back and spend a few days there.
Utterly stunning!

This excursion is amazing! The recent floods meant we had to take a coach instead of the train. But the long journey was totally worth it. The place and the monasteries we went to were stunning. Our guide was knowledgable and you could clearly see how much love and passion she had for the sites, as well as her/and her families connection to them.
Hidden gem. You can feel the magic and power of Meteora.

Tour guide Jim was excellent! Definitely go during low season to avoid the crowds. Suggest to spend two days in Meteora instead of one day trip. The trip back and forth to Meteora and Athens was 9 ½ hours alone (without traffic). Make the best of the trip to justify the time.
Excellent Meteora Experience - Highly Recommend

Meteora is breathtaking in its beauty and history. Our Visit Meteora tour got us to Kalambaka by bus (originally we were scheduled to go by train - the bus ride from Athens was ok - large bus and crowded; driver was safe) then we transferred to a smaller Merceds Sprinter for our guided tour with Kate. We stopped at a small family restaurant for lunch (on our own) and went on amazing tour. Our guide was knowledgable and was from the local area. Her personal story is inspiring and directly linked to the area. We had already been in Greece for 12 days but knew we couldnt leave without experiencing Meteora. This tour exceeded our expectations.
