We had a wonderful time on the tours with Visit Meteora. The hotel and restaurant selections were fantastic (we had the 3 day package). The tour guides were knowledgeable and personable. We also did the hiking tour and the cave tour, both of which were what I would consider intermediate difficulty, so be prepared for some rugged terrain! It was exactly what we were looking for! We would HIGHLY recommend Visit Meteora !

After arriving by train from Thessaloniki, we did the sunset tour around Meteora in the evening. It was amazing! The staff was super friendly, the ride in the company owned van was comfortable. The information provided by our guide was really interesting and they stopped at the perfect view points for photos and stunning panoramas. The sunset was especially amazing. The four hours of the tour were worth every second of the kinda long way from Thessaloniki to Kalambaka. Top recommendation for everyone who has a weakness for sunsets, tremendous scenic views, a bit of interest for local culture and history (we saw monarchys and a church from the 4th century A.C.) and doesn't want to hike up the rocks. 🙂

Our trip to Meteora was organised by VisitMeteora company. They were exemplary. All pickups were punctual, vehicles were safe and immaculate, drivers careful and courteous and the guide Vasilis was thoughtful, and provided relevant information in an interesting manner. In addition, on arrival in Meteora we had an emergency situation and the office staff and manager couldn't have been more helpful.
We have traveled extensively and we believe this company is everything and more that a traveler could want.
